Currently, I have been teaching at Providence Christian School since January 2006. Teaching here was my first 'real' job and so far I've taught Grades 3-12 mainly in the math and sciences area. This year, I am teaching Grades 10-12 part time, and also coordinate the Special Education services and am the Assistant Principal.
Before coming to Providence, I was a student at the University of Lethbridge and prior to that, I was a student at Calvin Christian School. During these years, I lived on a farm south of Fort Macleod and still today I consider myself a 'farm girl'. Throughout my growing up years, I spent a lot of time helping on the farm, and today, when I want to relax, I go back to the farm. I recently graduated from Trinity Western University with a Masters in Educational Studies with a focus in Special Education. This was a very rewarding and enriching experience in that I was able to attend at a Christian university and experience both spiritual and academic growth.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outside, being with family and reading a good book. I also like to spend summers traveling and have been to Holland, Switzerland, Germany, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Lately, I have been doing some hiking and the pictures show various views I have seen.
It continues to be exciting to be part of PCS and seeing God's hand continually guiding our school.
