Part-time Assistant Principal

We are currently accepting applications for the 2023-2024 school year for an assistant principal.  This is a 35% admin / 65% teaching assignment. This position starts on August 1st 2023.

The assistant principal at PCS will be called on to:

  • support the principal in providing spiritual leadership 
  • engage in transparent, ethical, and responsible decision making
  • scheduling
  • student discipline
  • student attendance
  • budgeting

Potential additional responsibilities:

  • Guidance counselor
  • Special Education Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • Experienced teacher with training and understanding of the meaning and value of Christian-based pedagogies and methodologies
  • Rooted in the Reformed tradition and by experience, acquainted with the history, culture, doctrines, and practices of the Reformed churches and schools.
  • Experience within the Reformed Christian school movement
  • Having a MA in Leadership or equivalent training is considered an asset
  • Having an Alberta School Leadership certificate (LQS) or the ability to obtain it

A principal at PCS will be called on to
•    provide spiritual leadership 
•    engage in transparent, ethical, and responsible decision making
•    lead staff members in defining, developing, and delivering learning for all students
•    provide insightful stewardship of funds entrusted to the operation of the school
•    be a spokesperson for the school to the community

Qualifications
•    Experienced teacher with training and understanding of the meaning and value of Christian based pedagogies and methodologies
•    Having a Masters in Leadership or equivalent training is considered an asset
•    Alberta principal certification or ability to obtain it
•    Experience within the Reformed Christian school movement
•    Rooted in the Reformed tradition and by experience acquainted with the history, culture, doctrines, and practices of the Reformed churches and schools.

Bus driver

PCS is looking for a capable driver who is able to take on one of our school bus routes starting immediately.
Maximum hours on the road: 6:30 - 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Salary to be negotiated.
